Al Clark joined the firm in 2004, and his practice supports both foreign and domestic clients with matters related to patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Al has also worked on litigation cases involving semiconductor manufacturing devices and methods, network and data communications, and biochemistry. His industry experience includes mechanical devices as well as material science related to mechanical applications. Al has extensive prosecution experience in the semiconductor manufacturing field involving robotics, electro-mechanical devices, flat panel display manufacturing and testing devices, chemical mechanical processing (CMP), charged particle beam devices, and plasma processing. He has also supported the geophysical industry with work related to seismic products and methods. Al's attention to detail and knowledge of mechanical devices and materials manufacturing stems from a background in metal fabrication as a welder, machinist, and, later, a supervisor to numerous welders and machinists. Prior to joining Patterson & Sheridan, Al was a plant manager for a metal fabrication and machine shop that served the petrochemical industry.
