Steven Roberts joined the firm in February 2006 as a technical advisor. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications with an emphasis on electrical engineering. Steven has drafted and prosecuted patent applications for the electronics and computer science industries including products such as light-emitting diode (LED) devices, electron beam devices and deposition and etch chambers. In related arenas, he has produced applications for fluid exploration and production equipment, mechanical designs of downhole devices and sensors with hydraulic or fiber optic control, and seismic technology at the surface and the ocean bottom. Prior to joining the firm, Steven was an electrical design engineer at National Instruments and Acuson designing precision test instruments and medical ultrasound equipment. His electrical engineering degree contains an emphasis in biomedical applications.
