We’re a unique, mid size law firm made up of special people with diverse technical and legal backgrounds. We specialize in protecting intellectual property, like patents and trademarks as well as litigating the rights of our clients in state and federal courts. Over the last several years, our firm has become an attractive home for new lawyers, patent agents and paralegals from all over the country because we provide a stable, enjoyable work environment with plenty of interesting work that can make the most of a technical and legal education. For beginning and intermediate lawyers, our Associate Roadmap ensures development through all of the different practice areas in the firm.
Our professionals come from a variety of backgrounds. Many are from industry positions where they served as inventors, engineers, scientists or in-house counsel. We have attorneys with court of appeals experience; former US Patent Office examiners; and practitioners with consumer product experience. Our different perspectives are critical for developing a well-rounded approach to a client’s IP portfolio and great for helping new attorneys, patent agents and technical advisors reach their professional potentials.
We offer a well-developed summer program to law students enabling them to work with seasoned IP professionals, including managing partners. Many of our current associates came through our summer program, and some even worked with us during their second and third years of law school.
