John earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University in 2010. This foundation in engineering principles would prove to be an invaluable asset in his legal career. He subsequently pursued his legal education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, earning the top grade in his Intellectual Property Law class before graduating in 2013. During law school, he interned twice for the Honorable Judge Rudolf Randa in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, primarily assisting Judge Randa with patent litigation matters. John also participated in Moot Court where he competed in the Chicago Appellate Lawyers Associate moot court competition and coached a team in the Giles Rich Intellectual Property moot court competition.

After joining the firm in 2013, he has spent the past decade making significant contributions to clients and in intellectual property law. His passion and dedication have been instrumental in drafting patent applications across various domains, including communications technologies, electronics and semiconductors, internet applications, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and medical devices and procedures.

Notably, John’s commitment to understanding his clients extends beyond the office. In 2018, John took on a secondment position with one of his clients, working on-site for several months.
