Rebuilding Together Houston
Home is where the heart is. For many seniors, their homes are where their families were raised, long-lasting friendships built and memories made. That’s why Rebuilding Together Houston (RTH) is dedicated to giving Houston’s elderly citizens the ability to stay in the homes they love.
Providing free repair and renovation programs for elderly low-income, disabled and veteran homeowners, RTH’s nationwide network attracts more than 100,000 volunteers on an annual basis. Patterson + Sheridan is proud to be part of that volunteer force.
Rebuilding homes, restoring hope
Our partner Ron Embry first volunteered with RTH 2 years ago, helping his son earn an Eagle Scout rank. Ron was impressed with the organization’s dedication to the elderly and the Houston community.
“Some of these people have been in their homes for 70 years, and can tell you how Houston has changed around them,” says Ron. “They’re so grateful for your service. It makes you want to come back for more.”
Ron has been a crew leader on three separate projects for RTH, and our firm participates in at least one project each year. To date, our volunteers have contributed about 1,000 man-hours to RTH projects. We look forward to rebuilding more Houston homes in the future.
