IT Systems Analyst

Houston, TX

We are currently seeking an IT Systems Analyst in our
Houston office. This position will be a member of a highly collaborative
administrative team that will provide direction in the design, implementation and
support of business application systems throughout the organization. This
position provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries through
help desk requests and issues related to computer systems, including,
applications, hardware and basic network troubleshooting. This role responds to
queries either in person, over the phone, screen share, or by email.

This is a hands-on position that involves working in a
team-oriented and client-centered environment. The successful candidate will need
to be able to demonstrate organizational, interpersonal, and strong
communications skills. Advanced skills in Active Directory, Exchange
2010/2016, Help Desk, Desktop Support, Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint,
Excel and Adobe Acrobat required. Intermediate to Advanced skills in iManage
(or other document management system), IPDAS, IPManager, Elite 3E and other
legal applications preferred.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Application Support/IT Training – define, develop, diagram
and document

Provide top level customer service and proactive technical
support to attorneys, legal assistants and administrative staff. This may
include travel to other offices, as necessary, and working closely with Office
Liaisons, and other technology staff

Effectively diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical
issues

Log, track, and escalate technical issues within the help
desk ticketing system

Promote the use of technology as a means of efficiency,
while adhering to best practices and technology policy.

On-Call after hours support as assigned

Phone and in person support as assigned

Patent Professional IV

Houston, TX

We are currently seeking two Patent Professional IV’s (also referred to as Prosecution Paralegals) in our Houston office. This position will be a member of a highly collaborative legal support team and will provide secretarial/administrative support to Partners, Associates, and Technical Advisors in intellectual property matters, with a primary focus on domestic patent prosecution and trademark filings. Responsibilities include: Prepare and file both U.S. and foreign patent applications, compile and analyzes data, prepare quarterly annuity reports, seek and track decisions from client for payment, tracking and payment of maintenance fees and annuities, manage renewal payment process, prepare and process correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents. The ideal candidate will also have experience with foreign translations to English, from other languages, using Espacenet/EPO/JIPO and the like, research IP assets as part of merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, as well as, ownership of registered patents, trademarks and copyrights. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate and/or equivalent education and experience relevant to Intellectual Property.

This is a hands-on position that involves working within a team-oriented and client centered environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent flexibility, organization skills, and be detail-oriented with strong communication and client service skills. Three or more years of experience working on patent prosecution in an IP law firm or corporate law department required. Experience with IP docketing systems, such as IP Manager, as well as working knowledge of IPDAS, PatentOptimizer and iManage are strongly preferred. Additionally, this candidate should have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, PAIR, EPAS and EFS-Web, ClaimMaster and MPEP and be proficient with legal and patent terminology.

Staff Accountant

Shrewsbury, NJ

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to be located in our Shrewsbury office. This individual will be a member of a highly collaborative legal support team and will support the firm’s daily accounting
functions. Responsibilities include: domestic payables; annual registrations and state taxes; bank and payroll reconciliations; general ledger reconciliation; profitability reporting; budgeting and assisting and training new hires.

This is a hands-on position that involves working within a team-oriented and client-centered environment. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong communication and client service skills. Five or more years of experience working in a law firm or corporate law department is required as well as proficient knowledge of Elite 3E and accounts reconciliation. Additionally, this candidate should have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or related field or equivalent education and experience is required.

IP Litigation Associate
