Gerry joined the firm in 2014. His principal area of practice is intellectual property law, with a focus on patents, client counseling, and intellectual property transactions. Gerry's areas of technical expertise include chemistry, petrochemical technology, and oil and gas technology. Before joining the firm, Gerry was employed as Counsel with Exxon Mobil Corporation, where he handled third party intellectual property matters, dispute resolution, and transactional work. He had previously served as a patent agent with Exxon Chemical Company, and also on the R&D staffs of Exxon Chemical Company and Hercules, Inc. From 1998 to 2005, Gerry was an attorney with Vinson & Elkins, where his practice included intellectual property litigation, preparation of counsel opinions, and licensing transactions. In 2005, Gerry rejoined ExxonMobil, and in 2013 he retired from the company with over 22 years of service.
