Patent Trial and Appeal Board Denies Institution of Trial in IPR Proceedings

Partners Jayme Partridge, Keith Taboada, and Todd Patterson, along with Associates Kyrie Cameron and Rob Gerlach, have successfully defended our client’s patents in two IPR proceedings. Inter Partes Review (IPR) is a trial proceeding conducted at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) to review the patentability of one more claims in a patent only on a ground that could be raised under §§ 102 or 103, and only on the basis of prior art consisting of patents or printed publications.

At trial, the petitions cited 19 grounds of unpatentability, and the board denied institution of trial on all 19 grounds.

Congratulations to the team!
