Patterson + Sheridan Welcomes Viddy Harris and Paul Klecha
As the intellectual property boutique law firm Patterson + Sheridan continues to expand, two more associates have been added to the Houston office, David (Viddy) Harris and Paul Klecha.
David (Viddy) Harris is an intellectual property attorney, a chemist and a patent-holding inventor. His expertise in chemistry has led to his representation of clients in matters ranging from oncology, polymer formation, refinery, and software to small-molecule pharmaceuticals. He has also worked with intellectual property transactions involved in mergers, acquisitions and bankruptcy.
Harris earned his B.S. in biochemistry from Brigham Young University, his M.S. in chemistry from the University of Arizona and his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Before becoming an attorney, Harris spent five years working for ExxonMobil Chemical Company as a chemical research technician in the Organometallic Catalysis Group.
Paul Klecha was a patent analyst at an intellectual property research and consulting firm before going to law school. He began his career at Patterson + Sheridan as a summer associate and joined the firm fulltime in the mechanical and chemical engineering practice group after he completed his law degree.
Klecha obtained his B.S. in biotechnology with a minor in biochemistry and his Master of Business and Science degree with a concentration in biotechnology and genomics from Rutgers, and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
Klecha’s undergraduate studies focused on healthcare, pharmaceuticals, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, agriculture and green energy. His Masters studies gave him insights into translating scientific and technological ideas into commercial assets. While attending Notre Dame, he was an editor of The Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy.
