The So Cal Ragnar Relay is an overnight running event where teams of 12 hit the road in 2 vans to conquer nearly 200 miles. Starting in Huntington Beach and ending in San Diego, these runners take “going the distance” to heart – but for more reasons than the awesome celebration that awaits them at the finish line.
Every year, an estimated 900,000 children in the U.S. are victims of abuse and neglect. The Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center, the official charity of the So Cal Ragnar Relay, is dedicated to preventing and breaking the generational cycle of child abuse for at-risk children and families. When teams sign up for the relay, they’re not only seeking the thrill of a lifetime, but to also help create a brighter future for the families of Orange County.
Breaking the cycle, one mile at a time
Patterson + Sheridan began participating in the relay in 2014, when Partner Randol Read received an invitation from one of our long-standing clients. Since then, we’ve raised more than $12,000 and run more than 600 miles.
We are proud to make this run a tradition, and in recent years, Partner Mark O’Boyle has joined Randol to help organize our team. All of our runners look forward to coming together each year for such a great experience and such a great cause.
