As a patent advisor, Kevin works with the
firm’s attorneys to protect clients’ intellectual property, particularly
semiconductors and electronics such as hard drives, memory devices and sensors.
He’s hard-wired to crave new challenges, and he enjoys learning how various
technologies work. Kevin is a quick learner who is skilled at dissecting
inventions and understanding what sets them apart in order to make them
patentable.
Before joining the firm, Kevin worked at
Halliburton, monitoring and overseeing hydraulic fracturing jobs for the global
oilfield service company. He would manage drilling operations in the field,
advise on how to address downhole issues and communicate with customers about
onsite operations. He quickly gained the respect of leadership at the Fortune
150 company and was assigned to independently run projects for a high-value
client within only a few months of being hired.

Kevin graduated from the University of Texas
at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He also received a
Texas Business Foundations Certificate from the university’s McCombs School of
Business. While at UT, Kevin served as the Campus Outreach Coordinator for the
Longhorn Run, an annual campus tradition that brings together students,
faculty, alumni and residents across the Austin area.
A fourth-degree blackbelt, Kevin spent more
than a decade as a martial arts instructor. He’s a natural leader and mentored
nearly a dozen employees while at Halliburton. In his free time, Kevin enjoys
hanging out with friends, spending time outdoors and traveling, especially to
discover the next best craft brewery.
