Tech-savvy IP representation fueled by insatiable curiosity
As an associate supporting the firm’s Houston and Greensboro offices, Paige helps clients protect their intellectual property in the areas of complex software, electrical engineering, communications technologies and artificial intelligence. She spent one summer interning at Patterson + Sheridan before joining the firm full-time.
Paige graduated with her J.D. and earned a certificate in IP law from the Washburn University School of Law, where she served as Senior Articles Editor for the Washburn Law Journal, Vice President of both the Intellectual Property Law Society and the Pro Bono Society, and Treasurer of the Washburn Student Bar Association. As a law student, she also received a pro bono certificate recognizing the dozens of volunteer hours she spent assisting attorneys with conservatorship, guardianship and expungement matters for underserved communities.
Leveraging experience as a problem-solver and leader
As part of her undergraduate senior design class, Paige gained an early understanding of the patent preparation process. She filed a provisional patent application for an original invention her project team developed for a local farmer. Unlike many of her peers who had been programming and coding since childhood, Paige summited the steep learning curve of her computer science program and earned a spot on the Dean’s List, among other honors. In addition, she served as her university’s student body president, managing a $9 million budget, assisting in the development of a new student wellness center, and championing a major student safety initiative while in office.
Paige is a self-described lifelong learner who isn’t afraid to ask questions and follow her curiosity. She approaches client matters by establishing a clear understanding of their ultimate vision and doing whatever it takes to get there along the way. Outside of the office, Paige enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, improving her 1930s home with her husband, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and being the Wheel of Fortune’s number one fan.
