As a technical advisor for the firm, Songsiri Thammarowet primarily assists with patent preparation and prosecution in the technical area of industrial products. With a background in aerospace engineering, she understands inventors’ needs and how to best support them through the patent application process.
Songsiri is currently a student at the University of Alabama at Huntsville, studying Industrial and Systems Engineering with concentrations in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She also is pursuing a business minor and expects to complete her undergraduate degree in the spring of 2023.
A friendly face and quick learner
Songsiri prides herself on being a team player who is very particular and detail-oriented. She enjoys building relationships and working with others to get tasks completed, and she is a quick learner who understands how to process new information correctly and quickly. She is also proficient in three programming languages: Python, MATLAB and C++.
She gained research experience for her senior college project, working with both NASA and the Missile Defense Agency. As part of an educational outreach program, Songsiri designed an activity to encourage students in Alabama to learn more about engineering. She also worked on another educational program funded by NASA, where she worked with children to complete an egg drop challenge using a drone and crane.
When not in the office, Songsiri enjoys cooking and art. She loves spending time with kids and is a Boys & Girls Club mentor.
