Patent Attorney Brian Kentshire Returns to Patterson + Sheridan as Of Counsel

HOUSTON (Feb. 24, 2025) — Patterson + Sheridan LLP is pleased to welcome Brian Kentshire as of counsel. He is based in the firm’s Houston office. Joining the firm marks a third return for Kentshire to Patterson + Sheridan. He was previously of counsel for three years and a senior associate for seven.

Kentshire brings nearly 30 years of intellectual property (IP) experience to the firm. His practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patents and trademarks in the fields of chemicals, chemical engineering, clean technologies, consumer products, semiconductor technologies and industrial products. He also handles technology, licensing, artificial intelligence (AI) and IP transactions.

Prior to joining Patterson + Sheridan, Brian served as senior intellectual property (IP) and AI counsel for a Fortune 500 chemical company. He held this role for more than 15 years, and was the global strategist and prosecutor for the company’s patent portfolios across the United States and in all foreign jurisdictions.

Kentshire earned his J.D. from the South Texas College of Law and his B.S. in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University.
