Deftly understanding and navigating a client’s challenges
Adriana Reyes is a patent agent in the firm’s Houston office, where she collaborates with the firm’s attorneys to protect clients’ intellectual property. Drawing on her mechanical engineering background, Adriana assists with patent preparation and prosecution for electronics, semiconductor technologies, and oil and gas services applications. She interned with the firm in 2023 and 2024, supporting clients on semiconductor and oil and gas projects.
When working with clients and attorneys, Adriana believes that good communication is the basis of a successful matter. She approaches every problem with empathy and patience, and will always ask the appropriate questions to support the firm’s work on a matter. Whether she is working on an office action or an application, Adriana particularly enjoys learning and being challenged.
Adriana graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she was the president of the Baylor Chapter of Pi Tau Sigma, an international mechanical engineering honor society. She also worked as an undergraduate research assistant, where she assisted with developing a method to capture and transmit solar heat to distant locations to decarbonize industries.
Outside of the office, Adriana loves spending time with her dog, running, reading, baking (you might find freshly baked cinnamon rolls in the office on occasion) and painting. She is a native Spanish speaker.
