A five-time intern and passionate associate

Griff Lancaster is an associate in the firm’s Houston office who works to protect his clients’ valuable innovations by preparing and prosecuting electronics and semiconductor technology patent applications.

As a five-time former Patterson + Sheridan IP litigation summer associate and technical advisor intern, Griff drafted and reviewed a wide variety of patents and their validity, particularly for semiconductors. In addition, he previously served as an engineering intern for a leading welding and manufacturing company.

Combining his engineering background with this legal training, Griff enjoys practicing IP law because he learns new things almost daily and is constantly challenged. He is an excellent listener who is dedicated to serving his clients. Griff enjoys working with clients in an efficient and thorough manner.

Griff earned his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Purdue University. While in law school, he was a member of the Student Bar Association and the Intellectual Property Law Society.

Outside of the office, Griff enjoys spending time with his friends, going to the park and watching sports, specifically Purdue basketball and the Houston Astros.
