Prior to joining Patterson + Sheridan, Sam worked as an electronics engineer for a prominent aerospace and defense company, leading radar integration and testing for fighter jets. He also served as a field service engineer sustaining photolithography equipment for a multinational semiconductor corporation.

Sam graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and earned his Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas. While pursuing his graduate degree, Sam conducted research in material science, specifically on ceramic-metal composites.

Outside of the office, Sam is a passionate pickleball player and mountain biker. He considers himself to be a foodie and enjoys traveling to new and unique eateries throughout Texas. He is also fluent in Korean.
